– THE LUME –

SUPERLUMINOVA

The Cortina 1956 Sand Chronograph has an Old Radium lume applied on the bezel markings and on the hour and minute hands. A little BGW9 lume point is also applied on the edge of the seconds hand.

– THE CASE –
316L STEEL

The case is made of 316L Stainless Steel to offer the maximum resistance to corrosion, it has been crafted with an exceptional quality. The contrast between polished and brushed faces gives to the watch a unique appeal on the wrist.

– THE CERAMIC BEZEL –

TELEMETER SCALE

The bezel of the Cortina Chronograph has a Telemetric scale that allows you to measure the distance of an immediately visible and subsequently audible phenomenon, such as lightning and thunder or the explosion and sound of a firework. For example, it can be useful to measure the approach or departure of a storm or in the past, during the war, it was used to measure the distance of enemy fire, especially at night, starting the chronograph when viewing the light and stopping it in the the moment the shot was heard.

In designing and producing the Cortina 1956 collection, one of our priorities was that the watch on the wrist was really practical in every situation. Thanks to a diameter of 40mm, 14.1mm thick and the particular design of the lugs, the Cortina on the wrist is comfortable and pleasant to wear.

ULTRA-DOMED SAPPHIRE

All Cortina 1956 watches are fitted with a wonderful sapphire crystal with an ultra-domed profile and thanks to the double internal anti-reflection coating, the dial is readable in any situation.

Respecting tradition

Taking inspiration from the 50s and 60s watches, the Cortina 1956 mounts a closed caseback which, thanks to an elegant engraving bearing the logo of the collection, makes the object pleasant and elegant.

– THE SWISS MOVEMENT –

SELLITA SW510M

The Cortina 1956 Chronograph is equipped with the Swiss caliber Sellita SW510M BH b elaboré.
An manual movement designed and manufactured in Switzerland with 23 jewels and 58 hours of power reserve when fully wounded.

– THE STRAPS –

HANDMADE IN ITALY

When purchasing, you can choose a pair of straps from those available for the model. All leather straps are handmade in Italy by a company with more than 40 years of experience while the Milanese mesh is produced by Staib in Germany.
