– THE LUME –

SUPERLUMINOVA

The Cortina 1956 Bronze Green GMT has an Old Radium lume applied on the bezel markings, the hour and minute hands and on the 2nd time zone triangle. A little BGW9 lume point is also applied on the edge of the seconds hand.

– THE CASE –

CuSn8 BRONZE

CuSn8 is a solid solution strengthened copper Marine Grade alloy (bronze) with 8% tin. The contrast between polished and brushed faces gives the watch a unique appeal on the wrist.

Bronze is a “live” material: day after day, your watch will acquire a patina in shades of brown-bronze
that will make it a unique piece, different from any other.

SECOND TIME ZONE

The Cortina 1956 GMT is equipped with an additional 24-hour display; an indipendent hand circles the dial in 24 hours, pointing to a fixed ceramic bezel with 24 hour graduations: this can be used to display either the local time and the reference time or the local time and that of an alternative time zone.

COMFORTABLE ON THE WRIST

In designing and producing the Cortina 1956 collection, one of our priorities was that the watch on the wrist was really practical in every situation. Thanks to a diameter of 40mm, 12mm thick and the particular design of the lugs, the Cortina on the wrist is comfortable and pleasant to wear.

ULTRA-DOMED SAPPHIRE

All Cortina 1956 watches are fitted with a wonderful sapphire crystal with an ultra-domed profile and thanks to the double internal anti-reflection coating, the dial is readable in any situation.

– THE STRAPS –

HANDMADE IN ITALY

When purchasing, you can choose a pair of straps from those available for the model. All leather straps are handmade in Italy by a company with more than 40 years of experience while the Milanese mesh is produced by Staib in Germany.

– THE SWISS MOVEMENT –

SOPROD C125

The Cortina 1956 GMT is equipped with the Swiss automatic caliber Soprod C125.
An automatic movement designed and manufactured in Switzerland with 25 jewels and 42 hours of power reserve when fully wounded.
